SARP at UW is a student organization created as a continuation of the AA598 sounding rocket course which has developed a hybrid rocket for the advanced category of the ESRA sounding rocket competition.

ESRA has released awards and the DAQ Destroyer has won both the advanced category 1st place and the Furfaro Award for Technical Excellence!

The team would like to thank our flagship sponsor Aerojet/Gencorp and the UW faculty, Carl Knowlen, James Hermanson, Adam Bruckner and Tom Mattick for initiating and supporting this program. We also appreciate the assistance received from the Aero & Astro, Mechanical Engineering, Physics and Chemistry Dept. machine shops, the Automobili Lamborghini Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory and David Stechmann (2009 team leader).
